Aluminium oil filler plug
This plug, unlike the original one, cannot be opened by anyone, but only with a spark plug wrench from your travel tool kit, Rothewald Special Tool Set (Order no. 10002768) or the spark plug socket tool (Order no. 10003912).
- The O-ring from the original plug must be retained!
- Not suitable for the RT and Cruiser models!
- Fits: BMW R850/1100/1150 R, R850/1100/1150 GS/Adventure
Attention: A special spark plug wrench (included in vehicle tool kit until 2009) is necessary. The wall thickness of an usual 16 mm socket is too strong.
Alternatively please use the Rothewald Special Tool Set (Order no.10002768) or the spark plug socket tool (Order no. 10003912).

This product is made of high-quality aluminium and will look great on your motorbike. To ensure that it gives you years of pleasure, please observe the following instructions: To keep this product in top condition, it should be treated after long trips in winter, or in rain or salty air (near the coast), and also at periodic intervals.
Water and salt encourage corrosion. After cleaning (e.g. with Procycle Special Gel Cleaner, Order no. 10004909), we recommend regularly polishing aluminium parts with standard aluminium polish (e.g. Alu-Magic, Order no. 10004031).
