They have been seen and heard in the MotoGP world for years now: Compact, racing-style exhausts! To make them legal for road use as well, the Italian exhaust maker MIVV has developed the GP BLACK STEEL rear silencer. It draws on MotoGP technology in terms of performance, yet still complies with EU regulations.
Its incomparable sound and unique look will set every biker's pulse racing. The MIVV GP BLACK STEEL has a black satin-finish body made of stainless steel, for which a special electroplating process is used. A stainless-steel clamp secures the exhaust to the bike.
These exhausts feature a riveted dB absorber, and have EC type approval with the dB absorber fitted.

Please note:
- S/O: Slip-on system - rear silencer comes with a manifold adapter tube
- B/O: Bolt-on system - rear silencer is bolted to the original manifold flange
- K/A: Full system - complete exhaust system comprising manifold and rear silencer
(*): The original catalytic converter is retained (on all other motorcycles, the original cat is discarded)
(U): Underseat - exhaust positioned under the seat
(L): Low-down - low-slung exhaust
(H): High-up - high-mounted exhaust
(K): A connection tube, incl. catalytic converter, is included
(3): When fitting the exhaust, the original manifold has to be modified, as it is continuous with the original exhaust.
(5): The mid-pipe is included.
(7): License plate mount and turn signal mount are included.
(8): The pillion footrests have to be removed in order to install the exhaust.
(10): S connection tube, incl. catalytic converter, is included
(11): Exhaust cannot be fitted in conjunction with side cases
- With ZX-10R models from 2011 onwards, no dB killer is fitted (not required due to original Kawasaki pre-silencer)

The Italians are putting all of their collective experience into retrofitting systems for many motorcycle models. This certification mark is the sole proof of legality stipulated by law, i.e. no written report or entry in the vehicle documents by a TÜV (German Technical Inspection Association) test centre is required. However, when it comes to installing accessories, the relevant guidelines of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StvZO) must always be observed.
At a roadside check or a TÜV vehicle inspection, the registered keeper is only required to show the "E" mark. It is then up to the official in charge whether to check the mark with the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) in Flensburg (or equivalent type approval authority in other countries), which is able to decode all certification marks.

MAINTENANCE:
Stainless steel should be cleaned regularly like all other materials, especially after exposure to salty air (near the coast), and also at regular intervals.
Water can easily collect in corners, edges and screw connections, resulting in corrosion. So careful cleaning is important, and if necessary screws should be undone in order to clean the parts thoroughly.
Do not leave rusty steel parts against stainless steel to avoid the rust "contamination".
