Power Kit 1000cc R80 1980- R80 FROM 09/1980
Siebenrock 1000 cc conversion kit POWER KIT:
The ultimate 1000 cc conversion kit for all R80 models from 1981 onwards, with certification and installation instructions. Increased torque and power across the entire speed range, paired with extreme responsiveness and smooth running, are unbeatable arguments in favor of this cost-effective conversion. The kit includes Nikasil-coated cylinders and weight-optimized forged pistons, which weigh 150 grams less than the original parts. In addition, the piston shape has been designed so that no changes to the cylinder head are necessary. The result of the modification is an increase in torque from the original 57 Nm to 72 Nm. The situation is not much different when it comes to horsepower. In the R80G/S, R80ST, and R80GS models, the power output increases from 50 PiBk to 60 PiBk, while the R80 street models even achieve 64 PiBk. Apart from that, the conversion kit eliminates the torque dip typical of BMWs between 4,000 and 5,000 rpm and impresses with its formidable engine smoothness thanks to the lighter pistons. The kit includes all the parts shown in the photoβsuch as cylinders, piston pins, and piston ringsβthat are required for the conversion. Gaskets are not included and must be ordered separately under order no. 60190100.
TIP:
To reduce the thermal load on the engine, we recommend installing an additional oil pan spacer ring and/or an oil cooler for all Power Kit conversions (see "Matching items").
Classic bikes from BMW hold a fascination that few other brands can match. Jochen Siebenrock also fell under the BMW spell. Ever since he established his firm, he has specialised in preserving the classic forms of the past while bringing them right up-to-date through innovative engineering. The development of technically enhanced remakes of sought-after accessories focuses on eliminating known weak points from the start. Thus Siebenrock components mean more performance, more sound and, most important of all, more riding enjoyment with classic bikes. All Siebenrock products are manufactured in the European Union, and more than 80 percent are even "Made in Germany".
