Description
WILBERS FORK SPRING SET DIV.BENELLI/DUCATI/MOTO M
New fork springs - making the right choice can be a difficult job. But one thing is certain, if you want to do your motorbike and yourself a favour, and at the same time maximise your safety, comfort, ride dynamics and handling, then you should take a closer look at progressive fork springs from Wilbers.
Our range includes fork spring sets from Wilbers for various motorcycles from different manufacturers. An outstanding feature of these fork springs is their extremely smooth surface. This is achieved by a process known as vibratory finishing, and it has the effect of minimising friction. Less friction, in turn, improves the motorcycle's handling and the functionality of the fork, and also extends the life of the fork springs.
Wilbers calls this process *ZERO Friction*.
Good to know:
In order to optimally utilise the performance of the fork springs, Wilbers recommends filling their forks with Wilbers fork oil, following the recommendation for the particular motorbike model. For details, see the information list under "Documents".

Shock absorbers made in Germany
For more than 30 years now, Benny Wilbers and his team have been producing suspension components for motorcycles. For thousands of bikers, chassis technology from Wilbers Products has increased the enjoyment of riding their machines. A wealth of racing experience and precision manufacturing of every component are the key to the success of products from Wilbers. Each shock absorber is assembled by hand and individually adapted to suit the rider. The result is greater steering precision, improved cornering stability, and a bigger safety margin at high speed and on difficult terrain.
Info
German type approval ("ABE)" allows the relevant accessory to be used on the vehicle models listed in the test report. Here it is the type abbreviation and not the maker's designation that is important for identifying the vehicle. The test report must be carried when riding in case it needs to be presented at a road-side check or vehicle safety inspection.
Accessories with type approval do not have to be registered in the vehicle documents! Those who do not want to carry the test report with them all the time can (for example) arrange to have the product registered by the Technical Inspection Association (subject to a charge).
If the accessory is to be used on a vehicle that is not listed in the type approval, an individual component approval is required. Although ABE type approval confirms the proper installation and safety of the product, it is the inspector who has to decide according to his technical expertise whether it is suitable for use on the vehicle.
An electric scooter with "ABE" approval has a type approval for Germany stating that the relevant vehicle satisfies all the relevant requirements of the eKFV (Small Electric Vehicle Ordinance in Germany) for the approval. In addition, insurance of the electric scooter is compulsory and use on pavements is forbidden. It can only be ridden on cycle paths and on the road (if a cycle path is not available). The minimum age for riding an electric scooter is 14 years. Although a driving license and helmet are not mandatory, they are highly recommended. An electric scooter must always be ridden solo.

Info
What is vibratory finishing?
During the vibratory finishing process, the treated part,
for example the fork spring, are inside a container with
a specially adjusted ceramic-abrasive-wheel. Then, the
abrasive-wheel oscillates. Because of the relative
movement of the products to the abrasive-wheel the
surface of the fork springs is deburred. The fine finishing
leads to a minimization of the surface roughness of the
part as well as to an excellent finish with noticeable
friction reduction = Zero Friction.
