Documents you must have with you
- Driving licence and vehicle registration certificate
- ID card or passport (since 26.6.12 it has also been obligatory for children travelling within the EU to have their own identity document.)
- International Motor Insurance Card (Green Card) is recommended.

First-aid kit / Hi-vis vest
We recommend carrying a first-aid kit containing suitable wound-care supplies and packed in a dust-proof container. High-visibility vests must be carried with you and worn in the event of a breakdown.

Requirements / Regulations
Helmet Requirement: Helmets are required for both the rider and the passenger! Only helmets that comply with ECE Standard 22 are permitted.
Glove Requirement: Gloves that completely cover the hands must be worn.
Clothing Requirement: The upper and lower body must be completely covered by clothing.
Footwear Requirement: Sturdy footwear that completely covers the ankles must be worn.

Lights
Motorcycles must have their headlight on even during the daytime.

Speed limits
- Within built-up areas: 50 km/h
- Outside built-up areas: 90 km/h
- Dual carriageways (expressways): 120 km/h
- Motorways (freeways): 120 km/h
